Cascade Locks International Mountain Bike (CLIMB) Trail
The Port has been exploring the possibilities of a mountain bike trail system outside of Cascade Locks for a number of years. Jill Van Winkle of (International Mountain Biking Association) IMBA and Chris Bernhardt of Alta Planning + Design have been the primary trail design contractors on this project. Funding for this project has been a joint effort of the Port of Cascade Locks , City of Cascade Locks and Hood River County.
A feasibility study and conceptual plan have been completed, but final trail construction is still 1 to 2 years away. CLIMB is an exciting new project with a lot of potential to bring mountain biking to Cascade Locks. The project will benefit the community in both recreational opportunities and economic opportunities.
